Gunung Yong Belar (7156 ft)

Mount Yong Belar is at the border of three states which are Perak, Pahang and Kelantan. It's one of the G7 mountain. (Mountain that has height of  7000 ft). We stayed overnight in Brinchang, Cameron Highland. The next morning we proceed to Kampong Rajah and park our car in a temple in Kampung Rajah. We has hired a truck (through Simpang Pulai/Gua Musang highway) and it took us to a place where we stumbled upon a locked gate. The ride was bumpy and we have to hold on tight or otherwise get thrown off the truck. Nevertheless, it was a fun experience. We got down from the truck and walk 45 minutes passing through vegetable farm to our starting point. We did not use the starting point that most people use which is through pipe and staircase.

Stage 1 : Flat terrain along the way from locked gate passing vegetable farm to trail head. (45mins)

Stage 2: Uncountable false peaks towards the Camp Tudung Periuk (2 hours)

Stage 3 : Long journey with mossy path reflecting 'Lord of the Ring' ambience towards Camp Kasut (4 hours)

Stage 4 :  Camp at Camp Kasut
*The water source is located downhill about 10 minutes form camp Kasut. Water is brownnish, but if you really like cold water, take a bath there

Stage 5: To the summit of Gunung Yong Belar. (1 hours 30min)

Passed by a vegetable farm to the starting point

Kem Tudung Periuk - the first campsite

The route to the peak, isn't it like the scene in Harry Porter or Lord of the Ring?
