20th tallest mountain in the world



In order to reach the peak, there are two routes to choose from ie Timpohon route and Mesilau route..Mesilau route is longer whereas Timpohon route has lotsssssss of stairssss...those that like to climb stairs can choose this route..^^ trust me..you will HATE stairs after this..

Well..we chose Timpohon route (of coz..not because we like stairs that much..:P)

Toilet, rest area and water point are available at roughly around every 1km. However, the water available there are untreated water which directly come from the mountain. Bringing sufficient water that can last till you reach Laban Rata (the place where you going to stay is highly recommended)

duh..it means you have to carry extra weight at your back..of coz..you can always hire a potter to help you carry your beg which a lot of people did that (it cost RM8 per kg)..so it will cost around RM50 for me..if i hire the potter..(of coz NONE of us did that)


The potters..no joke wei..they are STRONG..there are people even carry a full natural cylinder up the hill..so whenever you saw them..feel free to tell/praise them

ok..let's get back to the post..

We had our lunch break at KM4..

After KM4, as you ascend, you will feel the weather is becoming colder and colder and of course you can choose to put on on your jacket.

As we were getting closer to Laban Rata, the surrounding is more and more beautiful with more and more conifers.

TRUST me...open your eye..and LOOK around!!!It's nice..

you all can google image the view if wanna see more picture about it..but even that..you only actually able to experience the actual beauty when you are actually at that place yourself..

Bear in mind one thing..one of the danger of climbing mountain is the UNPREDICTABLE and EVER changing weather (just like the mood of a girl swings ha..emo for no reason..:P)

The weather can change from brilliant sunlight to mist and clouds to a torrential down pour in just a matter minute..That's the reason..it's a MUST to bring a raincoat when climb mount Kinabalu..

And..

of course on our way up..it did rain heavily..

And..

At that moment you have two choices..either to stop at one of hut to wait till the rain stop..which is may or may not be good idea cause you will never know when will the rain stop and even if it stop..it'll only be matters of minutes before it starts to rain again..

And..

We chose to brace through the rain..brace through the cold weather (it'll be even colder when you are walking under the rain)..

Looking at streams of water gushing down will definitely make you more careful on every single step that you step onto..kinda scary la..
just imagine you are wading against the current of a river which is of course as high as your ankle..










5 hours and 30 minutes..that's all we took to reach our midway lodge(Laban Rata)..

The first thing in your mind will definitely be

yeah man!!!I can rest..and have a nice HOT bath and HOT drinks..

well..you are 2/3 correct...
well..you get to have your rest of course for all your hard work..
well..Hot drinks do provided..

but no HOT bath..
some of my friends told me that they did not bath cause the water is simply FREEZING cold..

hmm..

How cold the water is?
well...the weather out there was just 8 degree Celsius

I can't barely stand under the water for more than 10 second..after stand more than that..my head will start to pain already..I saw steams coming out from mybody (har..like those people in kungfu movie like that you know..syok har..suddenly become a kungfu master already har..:P)

Warning!!! The content in bracket ARE HIGHLY RECOMMENDED/ENCOURAGED/RESTRICTED for guys..if girls wanna see it..well..just take it as a biology class,k?:P

(guys ha..I pretty sure you all saw how your kuku become longer...but had you ever see your kuku shrink before??till if you are those people who have even little bit of tummy..you will see your kuku DISAPPEAR/VAPORIZE/INVISIBLE or whatever term you wanna use it from your eye sight..After you know..how to make your kuku longer in 10 second..now you know the way of SHRINKING your kuku in 10 seconds..just stand under the water for more than 10 seconds..you will understand what I said..:))


And..

If you happen to reach Laban Rata..congratulation..cause you already get your certificate..though it's black and white cert la..coloured cert you can only get it when you actually reach the peak..

The view here is kinda nice already..

Till then..will continue Day 2 of hiking on a later date..:)

大学

我的大学生活终于结束了..可以准备带四方帽咯!!!!hehe..

4年..说长不长,说短不短..还记得第一年,我给人家的印象就是

穿衣服穿到大大件的人..

还被一个朋友笑足了4年...ish ish~~~

曾经告诉过我自己..

每一年都至少要做一样可以让我回忆..可以让我骄傲的东西...要一年比一年进步..

第一年..

没什么太特别的achieveement..

在orientation 吧...

给人家的印象就是喊cheers喊到最大声的那个..第一天而已ha...

第二天,就没声的那个傻瓜吧...hehe..

第一次,参加IMU Cup lo..

第二年..

拿了我大学生涯的第一个奖牌..第一个冠军..

第三年..

算很忙的一年吧..haha..

参加了很多东西..

Malaysian study..

IMU Cup..

哦..

还有人生第一次参加cheerleading..

还给人家送了一个大大的黑眼圈...haha..

做了一个好女生的东西..

去interview,还被人问..

adik,cheerleading pun ada lelaki punya a?

SWT!!!!

现在的我..

还假假地(广东话啦!!)能来个toe touch酱..

lc-ing...:P

第四年..

拿了另一个奖牌..

还是扭到了手指候..

还硬硬去比赛那种..

学了guitar..

表了演..

对一个五音不全..

没上过音乐课的我..

算不错了..

至少,

能玩两下guitar..两下而已ha..要三下就不行了...haha..

以后,

能玩guitar给孩子听..哄他睡觉..

还很lc 的..跟他说..你lin bei,我少少底还能玩两下的..:P

又是我人生的另一个里程碑..

Pause,Stop,Record,Play,Rewind,Fast Forward

Sometime I wish i can be like Adam Sandler in Click..have a remote control that can Pause,Stop,Record,Play,Rewind or Fast Forward the time..

Like in my fb status..in between pause and record button..

which i will choose?

Record of coz..

Why?

Reason
1. In real life, we don't have anything that can pause the time..
but there are lots of stuffs that can RECORD down what is happening..
ie. Human creation:of coz CAMERA!!!video recorder and bla bla....
God creation: of coz our brain..something that can record things down anytime,anywhere,anyhow..and it's FOC..

though got limited capacity la..
some more part of my spaces in my brain already being occupied permanently or errr..temporarily (hopefully it's temporarily enough for my exam..lolz..) by those facts in the lecture notes,books....

so,i will only choose to RECORD down those sweet sweet memories..happy moments with my friends and family..and DELETE those painful and sad memories.. and of coz will PLAY back when i need them..:P

2. err..imagine if u chose to pause ur time now..so..i will ask you 1 question..
How long you want to pause?

10 years,20 years or err..100 years..

If you choose 100 years..
so meaning you have to do the same thing you are doing now over and over again for the next 100 years..
I'm now in sem 7 and doing research..so meaning I have to do my research over and over again for the next 100 years..so I have to measure bp for another 99 years and err..9months? o..wow..

haiya..just the same old sentences again..Treasure those around you now..record down all those good memories..coz you will never know when will they leave you..

I believe that there are a lot of different parts or segments in our life..after you done with this part..you will progress to another segment..just like after you graduate..you will start your working life..and there's a completely different environment and you will face with challenges and obstacles that you won't have it during your study time..and of coz..you will meet with different kinds of people and get a new groups of friend..

ya..life is about progressing la..and that's fun part of the life..:P coz you will never know what lies in front of you..and it will never stay there forever for u..juz enjoy ur life now..and do whatver thing you wanted to do..

TRIP again!!!BIDOR

heylo..

it's trip-ing time again!!after Kanching waterfall..haha..

for this saturday,i planned to make a one day trip to Bidor,in Perak..

what to expect from there...

ok..

1st up we will have famous duck mee as lunch...

then we may go for a shopping around for 鸡仔饼( loosely translate as chicken biscuit)..err..no chicken inside 1 la..of coz..haha..

then we will take around 30min to go to a theme park in Sungkai..which has cold and hot spring ..
ALL in one place..

the Hot Spings - it has several smaller pools varying in temperature. Some you can only dip your feet, others you can submerge your body. You'll even see an Egg Boiling spot!yes..it's really hot till can boil egg..it's even has guideline on time needed to boil the egg..:P

the very cool HUGE pool flowing with cool mountain springs. It has a simple slide but the water is amazingly fresh and COLDDDDDD..trust me..it's chilling..

imagine after u go hot spring and then near immediately(depending how fast u can run though ^^) u dipped urself into chilling water..phew..
